Who comes and never goes

Who comes and never goes was the tittle of the story that I read last week. This story told about the friendship of two girls and a boy, but one of that girl feel in love with this boy, and one of this girl dead because of suffered liver cancer in stadium 4. I

It was the same night Ayu had ever passed before. She was lonely, without a friend or a boyfriend. She  just stayed  at home. Play with her notebook, hand phone or radio. Nothing else, and nothing special. Actually, she  just need a friend. Not for doing many thing, but just for accompanying her. Just it. “Huh, it sounds grieving!” she thought.

She  started opened her  notebook, turn it on. Waited for a minute.Just a moment, her notebook has been active. She  turned on the winamp, use the headset, and enjoy some songs of Western. she chose Broken, the song of Amy Lee feat Setter. It reminded  of two special persons in her  life. Huff. Broken… she want to yelled that she was  broken…!!!
Then she checked  my e-mail. Nothing. Something that she was  wait for there is no. she checked her  facebook. Still same. I felt  disappointed.

Suddenly, her  phone that she put beside her  notebook was  ringing. There was a SMS. She read.
“Good evening… How’s everything Ayu?”
That’s the message. She  frown. Then she replied.
“Good evening… I’m fine. (^_^) I’m sorry; may I know who it is?”
“It’s Reza. Reza Anggana Satria.”
her  heart suddenly got pain after reading that message. She read again. she spelled letter by letter. REZA. Her  heart increased pain. Then her  phone was ringing again.
“Ayu, do you still remember me well? I just want to know your condition now.”
There is an old pain that she felt again. she did not want remember it again. But, she  can’t flee. She must faced the reality now. Then she  replied his message.
“yes, of course. I have never tried to forget all of people that have ever existed in my life. And my life now is very well.”
“I’m glad to hear that. I hope we are still friend like long time ago.”
“I hope so. Reza, I want to know Kiran’s condition. She has never replied all of my messages nowadays. I’m worried about her condition. Please tell her that I’m still waiting for her messages.”
she waited  for Reza’s message. But he did not replied her message again. Something happens.she did not knew.

9.00pm
she  turned off her  notebook. she prepared for sleeping. Then she fell down her  body in bed. she remembered of Reza. she remembered of Kiran. They was  two meaningful persons in her life. And she felt that she was lost them now.
she closed her  eyes and tried  to sleep. But their shadow was so strong in her marrow. She  can’t stop not shedding tears. her heart is pain. Memories with them were so nice. Even those memories bring her met them in the dream of her  sleep. It’s felt so real.

“It will be a nice day.” she thought.
As usual, she started her activity, went  to campus she took on public transportation, her motorcycle was repaired. she sat in front of two girls of Senior High School’s student. They was friend’s couple. she looked at them, and pay attention for them two. They chat each other and look cheerful. They really reminded her of Kiran. She  looked at them same as with she look her self and Kiran long time ago, where they were  always together. Those days have gone. And now, she was  yearned  of her. She did not knew  the reason why Kiran had  never sent  her messages again since one month ago. she always tried  to guess it, but she  still got nothing.

15 minutes later.
she took off from public transportation in front of her campus. she walked down the street towards her class slowly. Just three minutes, she arrived in her  class. Still empty. She waited in front of class. And then, anymore she  must looked  something that reminded her  of someone, Reza. She saw  a couple was  chatting and joking. Romantic but disgusted. That view really reminded her  of memories with Reza. He was her friend at the same time her love. An amazing moment, even though just for a moment they were together.
her  heart suddenly got  pain again. She was  yearned of Reza. She was felt lapse now.
her phone was  ringing. It realized her  from  her fantasy.
A SMS. From Vina. she read.
“Ayu, where are you now?”
“In front of class. Where are you? Our class is still empty.”
“I’m home. I’m sorry. I have not given you information yet. Our lecturer will not come in. So, we are free today.”
she got  surprise. Oh my God. She was sad. “Why am I here? It’s pain”. She was  grumbling. It was not a nice day she thought.
“Never mind. Thank you. I’ll go home now.” She replied sadly.
Then she  leaved the class.  She felt sad, she felt disappointed. She walked down towards gate of campus. But she did not knew  where she  want to went . she walked  with dilly-dally step. “Ooh I need a friend. Kiran, Reza… I want you two. I wanna hold you two.” she talked  to her  self. “I want to cry… I feel alone”.
she want to knew Kiran’s condition. She want to went to Jakarta to met Kiran. But she was  afraid of meeting with Reza there. She thought she did not met them both in a same time. She was confused.

She sat on the chair beside the campus gate. she bent her  face. Her phone was ringing. A number that gave her messages last night was calling,  REZA. she was  shocking. she received that calling.
Just for a while, there was not voice. Silent.
“Hallo…” I spook slowly.
“Hallo… Ayu…”
That voice vibrated her heart directly. As a long time she didn’t heared   that voice which made her comfortable.
“Ayu… Why do you bend your face? You look so gloomy.”
“Why do you know Za??” she was  confused.
“I know, because I am here.” Suddenly a voice was heard beside her , a bit whisper in her ear. She  turned  away.
“Reza??!!” she was  shocked. she woke  up directly.
He smiles nicely. She was  still silent, without a word. All of her  bodies become stiff.
“Ayu…?” He looked at her.
“Emh.. Yes. Why are you here?” she tried to spoken, although it was  so difficult.
“I want to take you to one place. Come on!” He pulled her hand and took her  into his motorcycle. She could not  refused. She was  just quiet. She did not knew  where he  would took her to.

20 minutes later. They arrived in one place where they used to met, a place which was  full of memory.
For a moment, they  were  just quiet.
“Why are you here Za? Does Kiran know that you’re here?” she  tried to opened  conversation. But he just silent.
“Why do you just keep silent? Is Kiran fine, Za?” her  voice tone sounds hard. But Reza was  still silent. He closed her  eyes. He  looked  at her. Then she  remembered  again their  memory. “This face that always exists in my marrow. And the memories with you always exist in my heart. Forever.” She said with herself.
And unconsciously, she  remembered  again the moment when  they were together. Very beautiful. He was  the one that can made she felt happy. She could not found  the precise words to show her  feel with him. Too meaningful. she liked that  feeling very much, because it was  very pleased fell in love with her best friend.
she  looked  into his face in a long time. She floated  off in her  memory with him, with all of her  feeling for him.
After a while, he opened his  eyes. It realized her  from her  fantasy.
“Za, answer my question! Does something happen with Kiran? You didn’t tell Kiran what happen to us last time, did you? Answer me! Don’t make me worried!” she was  quite angry.
“Something happens with Kiran. And that is why I am here now.” He answered dismally.
“Tell me, what happen? Please!” she  held his arm.
“I will not tell you here. I want you know by yourself what happen to Kiran. I will take you to her.”
“So, why do you take me to this place, if you won’t tell me the truth here.”
“I just want you remember all of your feeling to me and our memory here. I don’t want you forget it, even just a little.” He glanced her  deeply. Then he took her  into his motorcycle.

A half an hour they  arrived in front of a house. She  knew that house very well, because that house was  one place where Reza, Kiran and Ayu  used to spent  their  time together. It was Kiran’s house. She had  never came to this house for long time. As she knew that this house was empty since one year ago Karin continued her study in Jakarta.
Reza invited her to came in to this house. She was  still confused, but her  heart started vibrating. Then they were  towards a room. They entered  the room she saw  a woman sat on the wheel chair. she approached her. Then she turned away.
“Kiran???” she was  very shocked. She hugged  her directly. She could not stop shaded  tears, neither can she. Feeling of longing mixed to sorrow.
After a moment, they  discharged their embraced. She looked  at her seriously. Reza and Ayu  help kiran  to sat on the chair, and then they  sat beside her.
“What happen to you?” she asked slowly. Kiran looked  different now. Her body became thinner and weaker. Her face was pale. Kiran did not answered her question. She just smiles. Ayu looked that she was still beautiful.
“Kiran had suffered liver cancer since several years ago. But she had never told it to anyone. She used to show that she was  healthy. And I knew about her sickness one month ago, when her condition was very drop. And doctor told me that she has suffered liver cancer in stadium 4. I was very sad because she hid her pain by herself.” Reza explained sadly.
she was cried  while Reza is explaining. She felt that it was  not real.
“I’m sad. Why didn’t you tell me about your pain?” she held Kiran’s arm strongly.
Kiran smiles again. Then she speaks smoothly. “We are same Ayu. Do you felt  that you used to tell me anything in your life?”
“What do you mean?” she  asked astonished.
“I know about you and Reza, Ayu. Did you thought   that you can hide your feeling both from me, your close friend? No Ayu.”
“I had  never intended to lie. I just felt that I betrayed our amity by having feeling with Reza. And I thought that you had  same feeling with me to Reza. So, I was  willing if I gave Reza to you. And I decided to continue my study here, in Tasik, in order to avoid you two. I have never intended hiding all this from you, because I have forgotten all now.”
“hmm, one more time you are lie. I know that you two are still in love. Reza and I were just friend, same with you. I love Reza same as Reza love me, as a best friend, just it. But I let you do what you wanted to do last year. I received your heart kindness giving Reza to me, for I couldn’t be alone and I needed a friend to accompany me passing my days with my pain.”
Ayu  gaze her deeply. She looked  so weak, but she stick tried  to look strong, even though she was  getting pain. Her  heart got  pain for she saw her  best friend like this. She had never imagined it can happen to Kiran, a spoiled girl.

“Don’t gaze me like that Ay? I was  not as painful as what you imagined. I was  strong, even stronger than you which always looked  obstinate though brittle.” Kiran said softly.
“Why did you not share your pain with me and Reza, Ran?” she  asked disappointed.
“I didn’t want to increase your burden, because you two were broken. I have been very thankful for you two, since you two never let me feel alone.” Kiran’s voice was  slower than before. She  could not stop cried , and Reza could not either.
“Do you two still remember about the meaning of our friendship?” she  asked to them.
“Friendship is not about who knows earlier, not about who knows more and not about whom more often together. But friend is who comes and never goes.” Reza answered directly.
“Ay, Za, you two are lucky, because you fell in love with your best friend.”
“I’m lucky I’m in love with my best friend…” Reza and Ayu sang  at the same time. Kiran smiles nicely. But her heart was sad. She looked such arrest her pain.
“Ay, don’t do what you did last year! A friend is someone who always remembers his friend in his pray. And that is what always Reza do. He always involved us two in his days. Although Reza has never met you for one year, you are always in his heart. And I know that you are same with Reza, Ay.”said Kiran.
“What did you say Kiran? Don’t talk anymore, you will be more painful.” She  said.
“Keep silent Ran!” Reza said.
Kiran spoken  little by little. “No, it’s time for me to go. I want to say what I want to say. I don’t intend to leave you two, but I can’t survive again. I’m happy, because I will go between you two.”
“I’m sad, why must we meet in situation like this.” Ayu cursed.
“I hope you two will never be apart. I love you two.” Karin closed  his eyes with saying God’s name. She breathes her last breath. She leaned  on Reza’s shoulder while she was  holding Ayu’s  hand. Her face was  so beaming. She had just went  peacefully. she knew , this is the way of God. He collects us in condition like this. Her  friend had went , but she  still have Reza, her  best friend and her love

She was very sad, and Reza was too. They was  lost their best friend. But she will stay in her  heart, now and forever. Because friend was who comes and never goes.

I thought this story is interesting but this story also can make the reader cried when read this story. From this story we can had the lesson that  our best friend always stay in our heart now, tomorrow and forever. This story also teached us that our friend could hide their pain from us not because their egoism but they not want to burdened we with their pain
